This year's negotiations for the Basic Inside Agreement includes a new option to particpate in the National Electrical 401k Plan. We are currently taking the necessary steps to get this program set up for those working under the Inside Agreement to participate, if they so choose. Particpation in this plan is optional. If you choose to participate, the contribution will be 5% of your pre-taxed gross wages.
Enrollment forms are now available to enroll in the program. This is the first step in getting started, but we are not there quite yet. Complete the form and return to the address or e-mail on the bottom of the form and keep a copy to give your employer. However, contributions are not being submitted to the plan yet, but at least you will have your enrollment on file when it does go into effect. We will let you know when more details are available.

Andrew Shepherd, Mike Romias And Todd Pink Are Recognized by IBEW International For Their Life Saving Efforts
Brothers Andrew Shepherd, Mike Romias and Todd Pink (not pictured) were recently awarded the IBEW Certificate of Recognition for their quick actions and determination when they felt Brother Scott Collilcott showed the signs of having a heart attack. Scott thought he was okay, but was persuaded by his crew that he needed to go to the hospital. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, he was in surgery. Doctors told him he had "The Widow Maker" heart attack and had he not gotten to the hospital when he did, he would not be here with us today. Thank you Brothers Shepherd, Romias and Pink.
